The Religion of a Relationship

I am so hollow
yet, I dream
priceless memories,
picture broken smiles.
On this side of brightness
I was confident
my love would not age.
I am not designed
to make girls panic.
Feeling unknown,
I might scream
when you turn out the lights.
Still, I could fall asleep for you
when the moonlight
cascades across your floor,
but when I awake
I am a desolate church
with broken pews
and empty aisles.
